Help MSU Students Dress For Success
Montana State University's College of Business is teaming up with College of Business clubs across the nation in launching an ambitious service project this summer and early fall. We are calling this project, "The Executive's Closet." The goal is to acquire "gently used executive clothing," to bring more professionalism to the students who cannot afford to buy new, professional clothing. Info: Linda Ward at 994-1995. Donations are tax deductible.
Free ENERGY STAR® Lighting Workshop
Cheryl Fretz, a Northwest ENERGY STAR® energy efficient lighting expert from Portland, will be doing a workshop in the Community Room at the Bozeman Public Library on July 10, from 1-3 p.m. The free workshop will focus on the latest technologies and techniques in residential building construction. Info: Dave Drummond at 581-9971.
MSU management class seeks businesses for consultation
MSU's College of Business is seeking local and regional businesses that would be willing to offer management students practical business experience during the upcoming fall and spring semesters in return for research, issue analysis or operational advice.
The students will be enrolled in "Management 463 - The Entrepreneurial Experience" or "Management 475 - Management Practicum." Both courses are senior-level courses. Past projects have included developing business, marketing and financial plans, identifying ways to improve businesses, suggesting solutions to problems, re-branding businesses, market and competition analysis, sales analysis, feasibility studies and helping with human resources and customer service issues. Info: Gary Bishop at 994-7017.
